COAS to be appointed from the names by Army: Khwaja

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Defense Khawaja Asif has said that the new Army Chief will be appointed only from the names sent by the army.

Khawaja Asif says that PML-N has no favorite name for the army chief, the consultation process for the appointment of the new army chief will start on November 18 or 19.

In response to the question regarding the deadlock between Asif Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif on the name of the new army chief, Khawaja Asif said that if the consultation has not started yet, how did the deadlock come about?
