Lahore: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested 8 terrorists in Punjab.
According to the CTD spokesman, explosive materials, hand grenades, and literature has been recovered from the arrested terrorists. The arrested terrorists include Fawadullah, Faqir Muhammad, Asif Nawaz, Ziaur Rehman, Atiq Ahmed, and Bashir.
The spokesperson further said that Akhtar Nawaz belonging to banned TTP and Muhammad Usman of Daesh were arrested from Lahore. Four terrorists were arrested from Gujranwala and one each from DG Khan and Bahawalpur.
Six FIRs were filed against the arrested terrorists and action was initiated. The terrorists were arrested while interrogating the suspects during 21 combing operations.
CTD conducted 402 combing operations across Punjab this week. During the combing operation, 22921 suspects were checked and 118 suspects were arrested while 89 cases were registered against these terrorists.
