Islamabad: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will visit the United States next week to attend the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
Finance Ministry sources say that Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will visit Washington from April 10 to 16. The Finance Minister will attend the spring meeting of the IMF and the World Bank.
The Federal Finance Secretary and State Bank Governor will also be with the Finance Minister. During the visit to the US, the Finance Minister will also inform international aid agencies about the progress of government reforms, economic discipline and funding from friendly countries.
The economic review and staff-level agreement will also be discussed in sideline meetings with the IMF during the visit. Important progress is expected on the staff level agreement between Pakistan and the IMF and the points that are pending will be discussed in the sideline meeting.
