Lahore: The federal cabinet has approved the withdrawal of IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar’s services after two years of posting at the United Nations.
According to Leading News, Faisal Shahkar has been appointed as an advisor to the Secretary General of the United Nations. He is going to America to do duty in the United Nations for two years.
Earlier, IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar applied for 14 days leave in which he stated that he wanted to go for Umrah.
After Chief Secretary Punjab, IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar applied for leave for 14 days. The services department has sent the summary of the leave of IG Punjab to the Chief Minister of Punjab.
Earlier, IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar has resigned from working in Punjab and the Punjab government has also written a letter to the federal government for the change of IG Punjab.
