FATF Includes Pakistan in White List

Islamabad: The Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an international organization that monitors money laundering and terrorist financing, removed Pakistan from the gray list.

According to the details, the important meeting of the Financial Action Task Force was held in Singapore under the chairmanship of T Rajakumar. According to the FATF statement, FATF president said that Pakistan was in the gray list since 2018, the relevant authorities have implemented all 34 points on which I welcome Pakistan for this progress.

He further said that Pakistan will remain under the monitoring of FATF, Pakistan needs further implementation of Anti-Money Laundering and Terror Financing Law. FATF President T Rajakumar said that Russia’s FATF membership has been suspended due to the Ukraine war, Congo, Mozambique and Tanzania are being added to the gray list.

“Pakistan has been included in the white list”

In this regard, the Ministry of Finance and Resources said that in the FATF meeting, the reports on the implementation of the action plan and the report of the FATF team’s visit to Pakistan were presented. Removal from gray list approved.

Prime Minister’s Expressing gratitude 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude for the removal of Pakistan’s name from FATF’s gray list and said that the nation should be congratulated for restoring Pakistan’s reputation and dignity at the international level.

He said that this is an acknowledgment of our great sacrifices in the war against terrorism, Pakistan’s efforts for counter-terrorism have been recognized by the world.

Shahbaz Sharif said that thanks to Allah Almighty that Pakistan got rid of FATF’s gray list, my neck is bowed in gratitude to Allah Almighty for the exaltation of Pakistan, I thank the countries included in FATF that they Accepted the position of Pakistan.

Congratulations to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan Army and other institutions

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, concerned authorities and ministries and all other teams including Pakistan Armed Forces, DGMO.

He said that he appreciates and congratulates Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa for his key role in this success, thanks to the allied parties and leaders of the government who made it possible with their full cooperation.

Shabhaz Sharif said that by bearing the accusations of ‘NARAO’, for the sake of national interest, we also cooperated fully in the opposition on this matter, we have always given priority to the national and state interest, that is the reason why Allah has given this success today. Granted.

He said that getting rid of the gray list will have positive effects on Pakistan’s economy, diplomacy and politics, and there will be more good news for the country and the nation in the coming time.

President Dr. Arif Alvi congratulated the people of Pakistan on the removal of Pakistan from the gray list by FATF and said that this success was achieved as a result of the tireless efforts of the government, institutions and individuals.
