FIFA WC, Argentina beat France to become world champions

Doha: Argentina became the football champion after defeating France on penalties in the FIFA World Cup final.

In the final of the FIFA World Cup played at Lucille Stadium, Argentina defeated France by 4 goals to 2 on penalties to crown the championship.

During the scheduled 90 minutes of play, the match between the two teams was tied with 2, 2 goals. On behalf of Argentina, captain Messi scored a penalty goal in the 23rd minute to give the team the lead, which Di Maria doubled in the 36th minute.

For France, Mbappe scored the team’s first goal on a penalty in the 80th minute and scored the second goal in the 81st minute to end the lead.

Both teams failed to score a goal in the first extra half played before penalties. However, in the second extra half (108th minute), Messi gave Argentina the lead once, which Mbappe equalized in the last minute of the match (118th minute).
