Rawalpindi: Corps commanders have expressed full confidence in the country’s nuclear command and control system.
According to ISPR, the 252nd Corps Commanders Conference was held at GHQ under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The participants took a comprehensive review of the current internal and external security situation and operational preparedness of the army. He expressed satisfaction over the operational preparations of the formations. The Army Chief appreciated the operational readiness and sustained efforts of the formations during the floods.
The participants were informed about the post-flood situation, relief and rehabilitation efforts of the flood-affected areas, especially in Sindh and Balochistan, with the help of the civil administration from the army.
The Army Chief reiterated the determination of the Pakistan Army to defend the motherland against all threats. The forum expressed full confidence in Pakistan’s strong nuclear command and control structure and security arrangements related to the country’s strategic assets, saying that Pakistan is a responsible nuclear weapons country.
The Corps Commander said that Pakistan has taken all necessary steps to strengthen its nuclear security system, our system is at par with international best measures.
