Islamabad: The government has announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 9 per liter and the price of diesel by Rs 7 per litre.
Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar while talking to a press conference said that the government has decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel to give relief to the people, for next fifteen days.
Finance minister said that the prices to be applied from 16th of July to till 1st of August.
New prices of petrol and diesel
He said that petrol will be reduced by Rs 9 per liter to Rs 253 per liter while the government has also reduced the price of high speed diesel by Rs 7 after which the price will be reduced to Rs 253 and 50 paisa.
Prices of kerosene and light diesel remain unchanged
Ishaq Dar said that the prices of light diesel and kerosene will remain unchanged.
The finance minister further said that the value of Pakistani rupee has improved after receiving money from IMF loan, Saudi Arabia and UAE.
