Govt releases 21-year record of Tosha Khana Gifts

Islamabad: The federal government has released the 466-page record of Tosha Khana from 2002 to 2023 on the official website.

On the instructions of the Prime Minister, the record was uploaded on the official website of the Cabinet Division. The recipients of the gifts include names of former presidents, former prime ministers, federal ministers and government officials.

According to the records, the names of former President Pervez Musharraf, former Prime Ministers Shaukat Aziz, Yusuf Raza Gilani, Nawaz Sharif, Raja Pervez Ashraf and Imran Khan are included. While the Tosha Khana records of the current Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and President Arif Alvi have also been uploaded.

Apart from the Prime Ministers, the record of gifts received by federal ministers, senior officials and civil servants has also been made public. Most of the gifts of low value were kept by the recipients without payment according to the law because in 2022 the law was to keep gifts worth less than ten thousand rupees without payment.

Apart from this, it was allowed to keep gifts from ten thousand to four lac rupees with the payment of fifteen percent of the amount, while gifts worth more than four lakh rupees were allowed to be kept only by the president or heads of government.
