DUBAI/MANAMA: House of Pops, everyone’s favourite frozen treats on a stick, has officially opened its first store in Bahrain.
The store has officially opened in Manama’s flagship mall, City Centre, after local franchisee Almoayed Investment became House of Pops’ first partners in the country.
The disruptive dessert brand, born in Dubai in 2019, has taken the UAE by storm with its super tasty, 100 percent natural, plant-based frozen pops and ice cream bars.
The brand has always had sustainability at its heart, and its products — inspired by Mexican paletas — contain no refined sugar, artificial colours or flavours.
Company CEO Mazen Kanaan says: “We’re super excited to partner with Almoayed Investment to open the first store in Bahrain! We’re thrilled to announce the first store has opened in City Centre — a staple! After Saudi Arabia, Bahrain is the next country within our international expansion, and we can’t wait to spread happiness there.
“We have selected Bahrain as expansion in the GCC as our first goal as we begin to expand internationally. Bahrain has a lot of opportunity and also shows strong trends towards health and wellness, where the ice cream industry is still lacking. As we find solid partners, we will continue to expand in the rest of the region and beyond.”
The company also caters to those on a keto diet, and its pops and bars come in a wide variety of exciting and unusual flavours including ‘Galactic Lime’ and mango strawberry — and a choco-dipped selection.
House of Pops first foray into Bahrain is the next step in its GCC-wide organic expansion plan, based on its mutually beneficial franchise model.
