India wins Junior Asia Cup, beats Pakistan 2-1

Salalah: India won the Junior Hockey Asia Cup by defeating Pakistan.

In the final of the Junior Hockey Asia Cup played in Salalah, Oman, the Indian team took the lead against Pakistan in the first quarter and doubled their lead in the next quarter.

India maintained a two-goal lead at half-time, Pakistan’s Basharat Ali scored to make the score 2-1 in the third quarter.

In the last quarter, Pakistan made several attempts to equalize the goal but none of the tactics could be effective, Pakistan won the silver medal in this event and got the honor of entering the Junior World Cup.
