‘Informal contacts’ between govt and PTI started, Fawad

Lahore: Former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has confirmed that “informal contacts” have started between the PTI and the federal government regarding early elections.

While talking to the media in Lahore, he said that they should sit and talk with us, give us the date of general elections, otherwise we will dissolve our assemblies.

He told the journalists that we have tried to make him understand that no system except elections can bring stability to the country.

“Despite our efforts, relations with the judiciary and the armed forces are deteriorating.”

In addition, Fawad Chaudhry emphasized that his party wants “improvement” in relations with the armed forces and the judiciary. We do not want our differences with the army or the judiciary to increase. We are constantly trying to reduce our differences with institutions.

The PTI leader claimed that despite our efforts to improve relations with the judiciary and the armed forces, some elements are fueling the rift.

It should be noted that Chairman PTI’s threat to dissolve the KPK and Punjab Assemblies came when Imran Khan said that the party will no longer be a part of the corrupt system.

“Senior party leadership will consider dissolving assemblies”

In response to a question regarding the dissolution of the assemblies, Fawad Chaudhry said that the party has decided to hold a meeting with the senior leadership on Tuesday (December 6). He admitted that there was a difference of opinion among the legislators on submitting the resignation, but the final decision on the matter was taken by Imran Khan.

He said that we have started meetings in this regard, have invited MNAs and MPAs of Lahore to listen to them, on December 6, Imran Khan has called a meeting of senior party leaders to discuss politics. And the strategy of dissolution of assemblies can be considered.
