The law of lifelong disqualification is not correct: Former minister

Islamabad: Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI Fawad Chaudhry said that the law of lifelong disqualification is not correct, whoever comes to the new assembly should amend the law.

Former minister Fawad Chaudhry and Malika Bukhari reached the Supreme Court on Imran Khan’s petition against the NAB amendments. Speaking to the media outside the court, Fawad Chaudhry said that the law of lifelong disqualification is not correct, whoever comes to the new assembly should amend the law, the amendment of the constitution or the law should not be for a single person.

He said that there should be amendments in all matters including bench formation. Our judiciary is the only judiciary in the world that appoints and removes judges by itself. Judicial reforms are very necessary, reforms related to the Chief Justice’s own notice authority and fixing of cases are also necessary.

Talking to the media even after the hearing, he said that the main issue of the justice system has been raised before the Supreme Court. The way Milli and Ishaq Dar came back has failed our justice system, the accused are making the law for themselves.

Fawad Chaudhry said that Nawaz Sharif’s children have stolen billions of rupees from this country, now such a law has been made that NAB will have to prove everything for corruption. Efforts are being made to end the cases against, if the Supreme Court had taken notice in such situations, things would have been better.
