MS YTCA Cricket Academy completes SA’s successful tour

SHARJAH: MS YTCA Cricket Academy teams have just completed a successful tour of South Africa, where they won five of the seven matches against some good sides.

The series began on July 14 and concluded on July 23. The matches were played in Johannesburg and Durban.

The most difficult aspect of the tour for the visiting coaches and players was to adjust to the very cold weather in South Africa. However, the visitors handled the conditions well with the players displaying some really good performances.

MS YTCA Cricket Academy teams played matches against Delfos CA U14 in Johannesburg (35 overs), Wits XI U14 in Johannesburg (40 overs), Delfos CA U14 in Johannesburg (40 overs), Adams CA U14 in Johannesburg (20 overs), Durban CA U14 in Durban (25 overs), Clipton CA U14 in Durban (20 overs), and Clifton CA U14 in Durban.

The players and coaches were presented certificates on the conclusion of the tour.

Players achievement on tour:

Best batsman: Jasmeen Kang (106 runs)

Best bowler: Rayan Soni (7 wickets)

Best discipline: Arman Asfak

Best all-rounder: Aaron Pers (2 wickets and 204 runs)

Best fielder: Athul Anoop

Best upcoming player: Aarav Guwalani (7 wickets & 97 runs)

Player of the Series: Khush Ranka (2 wickets & 432 runs)

Special performance: Khush Ranka (career’s maiden century)

Special moment: Aayan Guwalani’s birthday celebration
