Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif engaged in high-level discussions with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), at the latter’s residence.
The rendezvous, which took place in Islamabad, witnessed the presence of key figures from both parties, including Ahsan Iqbal, Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique, and Maulana Ghafoor Haideri. Notably, the participation of Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Ali and Noor Alam Khan underscored the significance of the deliberations.

Sources privy to the discussions revealed that the agenda encompassed a wide array of national political intricacies, with Nawaz Sharif extending an invitation to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, seeking his support in government formation.
Insiders disclosed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who has declared his neutrality regarding the prime ministerial candidacy, forthrightly conveyed his concerns to Nawaz Sharif. In response, the PML-N leader, cognizant of the governance challenges, earnestly implored Maulana Fazlur Rehman for assistance in navigating the complexities of forming a government.
