The United States denied entry to Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan, K K Wagan, and deported him from Los Angeles, diplomatic sources confirmed.
A senior official from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said that Wagan was deported due to an immigration objection. Despite holding a valid US visa and necessary travel documents, he was stopped by US immigration authorities upon arrival in Los Angeles for a personal visit.

Sources said US officials flagged the diplomat over “controversial visa references” and sent him back to his last port of departure.
The Foreign Office confirmed that Wagan was on a private visit and said the matter is under investigation. It urged against speculation until the inquiry is complete. The government is considering recalling Wagan to Islamabad for an explanation. The case has been communicated to Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Secretary Aamna Baloch. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has instructed its consulate in Los Angeles to look into the matter.
