Pakistan Knocked Out of ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Pakistan’s journey in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has ended after New Zealand defeated Bangladesh in the group stage. With this win, New Zealand and India have secured their places in the semi-finals.

Pakistan, the defending champions and hosts, lost both of their matches against New Zealand and India, making their qualification chances difficult.

In their first match, New Zealand scored 320/5, with Will Young and Tom Latham hitting centuries. Naseem Shah took two wickets, but Pakistan’s bowlers struggled. While chasing, Pakistan managed only 260 runs, with Khushdil Shah scoring 69 and Babar Azam making 64.

Against India, Pakistan scored 241 runs, with Saud Shakeel top-scoring with 62. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets for India, and Virat Kohli’s century helped them chase the target easily.

After these two losses, Pakistan’s semi-final hopes depended on other results. However, New Zealand’s victory over Bangladesh confirmed Pakistan’s exit from the tournament.

Pakistan will still play their last group match against Bangladesh on February 27 in Rawalpindi.
