Pakistan Pavilion inaugurated at Gulfood

DUBAI: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan’s (TDAP) Chief Executive Zubair Motiwala inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the 28th edition of Gulfood.

Consul General of Pakistan to Dubai and Northern Emirates Hassan Afzal Khan and Commercial Counsellor Adeem Khan also accompanied the TDAP chief executive.

More than 125 countries with over 5,000 companies are participating in Gulfood 2023.

Pakistan is participating with around 80 companies — 45 of those under the umbrella of TDAP.

The diversified range of Pakistan products being exhibited at the event include rice, confectionery, beverages, poultry and spices.

United Arab Emirates is amongst Pakistan’s top export partners and largest trading partner in the MENA region.

Gulfood provides a platform where Pakistani exhibitors can source new buyers for a wide range of Pakistani food and agro sector products including fresh and frozen food, rice, fruit and vegetable, sauces, nuts, sweets, confectionery and tea.

Through regular participation and constant efforts, Pakistan has not only boosted sale of its traditional products but has also successfully expanded its market for processed meat, herbal products and, fruit and vegetable in the region.

While the Pakistani products assure quality and freshness, buyers can also leverage Pakistan’s cost-competitiveness, lower transport costs and short delivery time.

After inaugurating the Pakistan Pavilion, Zubair Motiwala visited different stalls at the Gulf Expo 2023 and interacted with the exhibitors.

The exhibitors appreciated the arrangements at the venue, response of the visitors and expressed the hope that their B2B meetings with buyers will help enhance Pakistan’s food exports to this region.
