In an exciting match, Pakistan’s cricket team pulled off a close win against Afghanistan by just one wicket. This happened during the second one-day international (ODI) game of their three-match series in Hambantota, Sri Lanka.
Pakistan had to chase a target of 301 runs set by Afghanistan. It was a tough task, and they faced challenges along the way. With only one ball left to play and with just one wicket remaining, Pakistan managed to secure a thrilling victory.
In the opening game of the series, hosted by Afghanistan in Sri Lanka due to security fears, Pakistan won the match by 142 runs.
Chasing a target of 202 runs, Afghanistan were dismissed for only 59 runs, their second-lowest score in ODIs, in 19.2 overs.
Ahead of the match today, Hashmatullah said that Afghanistan would try to make a comeback today.
“We will enter the field, keeping in mind a target of 260,” he said.
