Pakistan to place order for Russian oil next month, Musadiq Malik

Islamabad: Minister of State for Petroleum Musadiq Malik has said that the government will place the first order of Russian crude oil next month.

In an interview, Musadiq Malik said that several agreements have been reached with Russia. The state minister clarified that Russia has assured the government that it is giving Pakistan concessions equal to those received by any other neighboring country.

Talking about the government’s decision regarding separate gas tariff for rich and poor, the minister said that this procedure was formulated on the orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.

He said that this is why we divided the country into rich and poor population, if a poor woman is using one unit of gas, she will pay a quarter of what a woman from F-7 or Gulberg is paying.
