HELSINKI: Pakistanis living in Finland celebrated Independence Day by organising a Kite Flying Festival, the first of its kind here, on August 14.
Besides flying colourful kites, more than 500 guests enjoyed food, fun time and networking along with showing fondness for traditional Pakistani dresses and jewellery.
The event was organised by Ms. Iram Khan, who is the founder of PIF Group Finland.
In an interview, Ms. Iram Khan said that she plans to come up with a bigger and better event next year as positive feedback from her fellow Pakistanis has motivated her even more.
The visitors appreciated the initiative taken by the organisers and want to have more such events in future to bring the community closer.
