KARACHI: Pakistan’s first indigenous long-range 3D surveillance radar was showcased at the International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024.
Organiser Owais Rauf stated that this radar will be a breakthrough in aerial surveillance.
According to details, the IDEAS 2024 was successfully held in Karachi, where the Pakistani radar was also presented. This 350-kilometre range radar is Pakistan’s first long-range 3D surveillance radar.
Organisers said the radar was developed with the collaboration of NRTC and Blue Surge and was presented at IDEAS for the first time. It will be a major breakthrough in Pakistan’s comprehensive air defense system. The radar was developed by Blue Surge Private Limited, and the project had been ongoing for four years.
Finally, Pakistan has achieved self-reliance in this field.
Foreign delegates showed keen interest in it the radar system.
Experts who observed the radar at the event praised it and described it as a significant advancement in the defense sector.
