ABU DHABI: The Pakistan Business Professional Council (PBPC) held the first Pakistan Mango Festival, bringing the taste and fragrance of Pakistani mangoes to the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
With Pakistan Business Professional Council President Dr Qaisar Anis making all out efforts in organising the event, Dr Mohammed Farhan also played a key role in making the festival successful.
The occasion was attended by a large number of people from the Pakistani community in Abu Dhabi. They included Syed Mohammad Saleem Akhtar, Faisal Altaf, Dr Talat, Shahabuddin Shahab, Misbah Shahab, Saadia Arshad, Dr Shahid Hadi and Tariq Qureshi among others.
There are more than 15 varieties of mangoes in Pakistan.
Dr Farhan and Asif Zaman believe that the Pakistan Mango Festival in Abu Dhabi will help market the ‘king of fruits’ in a better way, adding that the tasty mangoes have made the festival enjoyable.
Pakistani business women also participated in the festival and presented various mango dishes.
After successfully organising the mango festival, the Pakistan Business Professional Council has decided to hold the Pakistan Rice Festival and the Pakistan Kinnow Festival soon.
