Punjab Sets Official Rates for wheat flour at Rs 139.9 per kg

Lahore: Punjab Food Department has officially determined the rates for wheat and wheat flour.

The provincial cabinet, through its approval, authorized the issuance of a notification that fixes the rate of wheat at Rs 4700 per maund for mills. This decision provides a standardized benchmark for transactions in the agricultural sector.

As part of the newly established pricing structure, the official rate for wheat flour has been set at Rs 139.9 per kg. For a 40-kilogram bag of wheat, the mandated rate stands at 4,700 rupees, offering clarity and consistency in transactions within the industry.

At the wholesale level, the rate for a 10-kilogram bag of flour (atta) has been determined at 1,374 rupees. Consumers can now anticipate purchasing a 10-kilogram bag of flour (atta) at a retail rate of 1,399 rupees, aligning with the updated pricing structure endorsed by the Punjab Food Department.
