Peshawar: Senior lawyer and former Supreme Court Bar President Latif Afridi was killed in a firing incident.
The firing incident took place in the bar room of the Peshawar High Court premises. Latif Afridi was rushed to Lady Reading Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. According to SSP Operations, Police have arrested the accused who fired at former President of the Supreme Court Bar and senior lawyer Latif Afridi
Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar has confirmed the death of Latif Afridi. According to the spokesman, he was hit by multiple bullets. After the preliminary procedure in the hospital, the body has been sent to the native village by ambulance.
According to reports, the accused arrested in the murder of senior lawyer Latif Afridi has also been identified, whose name is Adnan Afridi son of Samiullah. The accused is said to be a junior lawyer in the High Court.
Meanwhile, there has been an important revelation in the murder case of senior lawyer Latif Afridi, according to which the arrested accused Adnan Sami Afridi is the nephew of the deceased judge of Swat Anti-Terrorism Court, Aftab Afridi.
According to the investigation team, the deceased Latif Afridi was named in the FIR of the murder case of the deceased Judge Aftab Afridi of Swat Anti-Terrorism Court.
On the other hand, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council strongly condemned the firing incident on senior jurist Latif Afridi and announced a strike and three days of mourning across the province yesterday. Condemning the murder incident, the Bar Council has asked that an immediate investigation be conducted and those responsible be punished.
