Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has unveiled Maryam Nawaz as the party’s nominee for the coveted position of Chief Minister Punjab. This declaration came during a press conference in Islamabad, where key political figures including PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, MQM’s Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and PML-Q’s chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain gathered in a display of unity.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need for a collaborative approach in steering the nation out of its current challenges, expressing his intention to urge Nawaz Sharif to assume the premiership. Former President Asif Zardari emphasized the importance of inclusive governance, extending an invitation to PTI to participate in the reconciliation process. He stressed the necessity of aligning on economic agendas for the greater good of Pakistan, transcending past electoral differences.
