Summary of ending autonomy of NAB rejected

Islamabad: Ministry of Law has written a letter to National Accountability Bureau, according to which NAB’s summary of independent termination has been rejected.

According to Leading News, NAB had sent a summary to declare the job as a civil service occupational group, on which the Ministry of Law sent a letter to NAB, in which it is said that the job of NAB cannot be declared as civil servants.

The government also rejected the proposal to end the autonomy of the Chairman NAB while rejecting the summary to end the autonomy of NAB. The letter written in this regard further states that by accepting the proposal, NAB will no longer be an independent institution.

According to the law ministry’s letter, by approving the proposal, the independence of the chairman NAB will also be lost. The job of NAB cannot be declared as a civil servant.
