Gujranwala: Federal Energy There Is No Change In Net Metering: Khurram Dastagir Minister Khurram Dastgir has said that there is no change in net metering.
Federal Energy Minister Khuram Dastgir said in a press conference that efforts are underway to provide electricity in Sindh and Balochistan and Dadu Grid Station was in danger of flooding, but all possible measures were taken for safety.
He said that the power system affected by the flood has been completely restored and the officials of the concerned district administration and Ministry of Energy have done a great job. We have also set up a camp for flood victims in Dadu.
Khurram Dastgir said that he visited the tented settlement in Dadu and reviewed the facilities provided while also directing the Sukkur Electric Company to help the flood victims. Power has now been fully restored in Dadu and Sabi on the Mach line.
There Is No Change In Net Metering: Khurram Dastagir
He said that gray poles and lines have been completely restored in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while electricity could not be restored in Dadu, Khairpur and rural areas. There are many feet of water in the grid station located at Dadu, Sukkur and its other areas. After the fault in the Port Qasim Matiari line, power has now been restored and there is no change in net metering.
The Energy Minister said that Nepra has issued a clarification that there is no change in net metering and Nepra must support the government but there is no such ambiguity.
He said that they are making arrangements for 10,000 solar panels and they have nothing to do with net metering. The first solar power plant of 600 MW will be installed and will be commissioned soon.
