Islamabad: Traders of the Capital has opposed the long march and demanded to make Islamabad a protest-free city.
Islamabad Chamber of Commerce says that long marches and sit-ins threaten to destroy the economy and business of Islamabad.
The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce delegation had a special meeting with Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in this regard.
He said that the diplomatic community is also suffering from severe anxiety due to the political attacks on the capital. In this regard, they will raise their voices at every forum. Some places outside Islamabad should be allocated for the protest.
The business community says that the 126-day sit-in in 2014 caused irreparable damage to Islamabad. During the meeting, the business community also demanded the immediate removal of the containers placed on the highways.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has assured the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce delegation that all legal measures will be taken to protect citizens and businessmen.
