Pakistan, UAE Explore Cooperation in Digital Governance and AI

Dubai: Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, visited the Department of Government Enablement (DGE) in Abu Dhabi, where he held a productive meeting with His Excellency Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of DGE. The visit focused on exchanging insights into the UAE’s success in leveraging artificial intelligence and digital technologies to enhance governance and improve public service delivery.

During the meeting, Professor Iqbal praised the UAE’s visionary leadership in driving digital transformation and highlighted the innovation behind platforms such as TAMM, which have set a regional benchmark in citizen-centric services. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to adopting similar forward-thinking approaches through the “Uraan Pakistan” initiative, a national strategy aimed at building a more efficient, transparent, and responsive public sector.

Both sides expressed a strong interest in fostering future collaboration, particularly in areas such as digital governance, capacity-building, and AI-driven public services.
