DUBAI: The Government of Sharjah pavilion continued to attract strong attention on the fourth day of GITEX Global 2025, drawing VIP visitors, diplomats, and technology experts eager to explore the emirate’s forward-looking digital initiatives shaping the cities of the future.
The pavilion reflected Sharjah’s human-centred approach to digital transformation, showcasing projects that use artificial intelligence, data analytics, and the Internet of Things to enhance community connection and public well-being.
High-profile visitors included UAE ministers, heads of government entities, diplomats, and senior officials, welcomed by HE Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah Digital Department, and HE Eng. Lamia Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Director of SDD.

Among the standout projects was the Remote Company Formation (Visual Intelligence) system launched by the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, which allows investors to establish businesses remotely through AI-assisted live verification. The Sharjah Department of Public Works introduced ‘Bo’d’, a real-time monitoring platform for government buildings, improving sustainability and operational efficiency.

The Sharjah Social Services Department unveiled the ‘Safe Digital Life Ambassadors’ programme, training children to promote online safety with support from generative AI. Another project, ‘Muwasat’, aims to streamline bereavement-related procedures across multiple government bodies, combining efficiency with compassion.
Concluding the pavilion’s activities, winners of the Sharjah Digital Hackathon were honoured for AI-driven solutions addressing real-world challenges.
HE Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi said the showcased initiatives embody Sharjah’s vision for “a connected, human-centred digital society where technology serves people and strengthens community well-being.”
