ELPS Dubai celebrates historic world champion title at Century Tech Excellence Awards 2026

Pakistani Consul General honours students and teachers as school secures first place among more than one million learners from 70 countries

DUBAI: English Language Private School (ELPS) Dubai celebrated its historic achievement of being crowned World Champions at the Century Tech Excellence Awards 2026, recognising the outstanding accomplishments of its students, teachers and academic leadership.

The school secured first place globally in the CENTURY Spring Challenge 2026, emerging as world champions among more than one million learners from over 1,500 schools across 70 countries. The achievement is regarded as one of the most significant international academic milestones for a school in the United Arab Emirates and reflects ELPS’s commitment to excellence in education and innovation.

The ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Consul General in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, as the chief guest. Other distinguished attendees included Chairman Hassan Ibrahim Hokal, Co-Chairman Muhammad Rashid Ashraf, Governor Ahmed Geddy, Press Counsellor Saleh Muhammad, Trade and Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan, Pakistan Education Academy Principal Shumaila Ahmed, members of the Board of Governors, school leadership, educationists, parents and community members.

The event began with the UAE national anthem, recitation and translation of the Holy Quran, followed by opening remarks and a presentation titled The World Champion Story, highlighting the school’s journey to becoming the highest-performing institution in the CENTURY Spring Challenge 2026.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Muhammad Atif described the achievement as the result of a shared vision, dedicated leadership, committed teachers, hardworking students and strong parental support. He reaffirmed the school’s commitment to producing future-ready learners through innovation, technology-enhanced education and high-quality teaching.

A message on behalf of the Board of Governors congratulated the students, teachers and school administration, reaffirming the board’s commitment to educational excellence, innovation and strategic investment to prepare students for global opportunities.

The programme featured patriotic performances and a “Champions of Learning” presentation, during which students shared their experiences and reflected on their contribution to the school’s international success.

A major highlight of the event was the presentation of the Century Tech Excellence Awards to outstanding students from FS2 to Year 9 for exceptional academic performance, resilience and dedication to learning. Teachers and department heads were also honoured for their contribution to educational excellence and student success.

The ceremony also included the official presentation of the World Champion Trophy, symbolising ELPS’s achievement as the top-performing school worldwide in the CENTURY Spring Challenge 2026.

In his keynote address, Hussain Muhammad congratulated the students on their remarkable international success and praised the school for nurturing young people capable of competing on the global stage. He commended the efforts of the Board of Governors, school leadership, teachers, staff, students and parents in achieving the milestone.

He also praised the leadership of the United Arab Emirates for its continued commitment to educational excellence, innovation, artificial intelligence and human development, saying the country’s progressive education ecosystem had enabled schools to excel internationally.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a commemorative shield to the chief guest, followed by a vote of thanks and a networking reception attended by educators, parents and invited guests.

School officials said ELPS would continue investing in innovative teaching methods, educational technology and student development to prepare confident, compassionate and globally competitive learners for the future.
