Dubai: “HER STORY – A Tribute to Women, Edition 2,” presented by Art4you Gallery and organised by Jesno Jackson at Art Smiley Art Gallery, highlighted women’s experiences through a diverse collection of contemporary artworks.
The international group exhibition moved beyond traditional portrayals of women, offering a platform for personal storytelling, cultural perspectives and emotional expression through multiple artistic mediums.
The showcase featured paintings, mixed media works, installations, abstract compositions and figurative art, collectively exploring themes such as identity, resilience, transformation, memory, belonging and personal growth. Visitors were invited to engage with artworks that reflected emotional journeys shaped by childhood memories, migration, cultural heritage and lived experiences.
A key focus of the exhibition was the translation of personal narratives into visual form, with several works addressing displacement, cross-cultural migration and the search for belonging in an increasingly interconnected world. Sculptural and installation pieces added an immersive dimension, encouraging deeper audience interaction.

The exhibition brought together 21 artists representing 16 nationalities, reflecting Dubai’s multicultural art scene. Participating artists came from countries including Romania, Russia, Korea, South Africa, Iran, Lebanon, Hungary, Britain, Saudi Arabia, India, Algeria, Armenia, Egypt, Philippines, Syria and Ghana.
Organisers said the diversity of participants strengthened the exhibition’s central aim of fostering dialogue and cultural exchange through art, allowing different perspectives and artistic languages to come together under one curatorial vision.
The opening night attracted artists, collectors, media representatives and art enthusiasts, creating an interactive environment of cultural exchange. Visitors also received customised artist portrait mugs designed by artist Rick Nibert Balingan, adding a personalised artistic element to the experience.
Sustainability was also highlighted through floral installations by The Green Revolution DXB, which complemented themes of growth, renewal and transformation within the exhibition.

Art4you Gallery founder and CEO Rengi Cherian said the exhibition reflects the gallery’s commitment to celebrating diversity and human connection through art, adding that each artwork contributed to a broader narrative of identity, resilience and belonging.
Organisers said “HER STORY” served not only as an exhibition but also as a platform for cross-cultural dialogue, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for contemporary artistic expression.
