DUBAI: Dubai will host the inaugural Dubai International Electric Vehicles Exhibition and Conference (EV World 2026) from November 10 to 12, bringing together global electric vehicle manufacturers, investors, charging infrastructure providers and mobility technology companies to explore business opportunities in the Middle East’s expanding electric vehicle market.
Organised in strategic partnership with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the event will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre, positioning the emirate as a potential regional hub for electric mobility investment, sustainable transport and smart infrastructure.
The event comes as the global electric vehicle industry expands and the Middle East attracts increasing investment through economic diversification programmes, sustainability policies, public-private partnerships and infrastructure development.
According to the International Energy Agency, electric cars are expected to account for around 28 per cent of global new car sales in 2026. BloombergNEF projects that global sales of passenger electric vehicles will exceed 23 million this year, representing approximately 27 per cent of passenger vehicle sales.
The Gulf Cooperation Council’s electric vehicle market is forecast to grow from $11.64 billion in 2026 to $31.66 billion by 2031, according to Mordor Intelligence. The projected expansion is expected to create opportunities across electric vehicles, commercial fleets, charging networks, batteries, energy storage, smart mobility software and renewable energy integration.
The UAE is pursuing policies aimed at accelerating electric vehicle adoption and developing charging infrastructure. Its National Electric Vehicles Policy seeks to establish a national charging network, regulate the EV market, reduce energy consumption in the transport sector by 20 per cent and increase the share of electric vehicles to 50 per cent of all vehicles on UAE roads by 2050.
In Dubai, the number of electric vehicle charging points reached 2,223 by the end of the first quarter of 2026, including stations operated under the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s EV Green Charger initiative and licensed independent charge point operators.
Dubai’s location, transport infrastructure and international business environment are also expected to support its role in connecting global companies with markets across the UAE, the wider GCC, the Middle East and Africa.
Global mobility industry participation
The organisers expect EV World 2026 to attract more than 10,000 visitors, over 300 exhibitors, more than 70 speakers, 30-plus partners and over 100 delegates from across the global mobility sector.
The exhibition and conference will cover electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, batteries and energy storage, commercial fleets, smart mobility, air mobility, autonomous vehicles and renewable energy.
For international exhibitors, the event is intended to provide opportunities to connect with government decision-makers, regional business partners, distributors, investors, infrastructure developers, fleet operators and other industry stakeholders.
The platform will also focus on business matchmaking, investment discussions, strategic partnerships and regional market expansion.
As governments and businesses across the Middle East pursue cleaner transport systems and more advanced mobility infrastructure, EV World 2026 aims to facilitate cooperation between international companies and regional stakeholders working to develop the electric mobility sector.
The event’s inaugural edition is expected to bring together manufacturers, technology providers, investors and policymakers to discuss emerging opportunities and the development of electric vehicle infrastructure across the region.
