Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Bench of Lahore High Court has suspended the arrest warrant of Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
High Court Rawalpindi Bench Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan heard the petition against the arrest warrant.
The court stopped the anti-corruption department from taking any action on the arrest warrant and issued a notice to the anti-corruption investigation team and sought the records of the case.
The High Court also stopped the Anti-Corruption Department from arresting the Interior Minister and conducting raids in this regard and summoned the Anti-Corruption Department along with the records on Monday, October 17.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah is accused of taking two plots from the owner of a private society in Kallar Kahar as a bribe and registering an illegal society. Rana Sanaullah was the Law Minister at that time. Anti-corruption headquarters were summoned to record the statement in the case and warrants were issued for non-appearance.
