Islamabad: In view of the current situation in Punjab, the federal government has decided to deploy Rangers and FC in the province to maintain law and order.
According to the information from the sources, the federal law enforcement agencies will carry out matters related to law and order in Punjab and the implementation of the constitution and law in the province.
According to sources, along with the police, Punjab Rangers and FC will also be deployed to maintain law and order.
Interior Ministry sources said that Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has instructed Chief Secretary and IG Punjab to maintain law and order, protect people’s lives and property and perform their duties according to the constitution and law.
Apart from this, Rana Sanaullah also made it clear that no government officer or official should be a part of any act contrary to the constitution, otherwise strict legal action will be taken against him.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Interior issued a notification to appoint Rangers in the Governor House Lahore, in which it is said that Rangers are being appointed in the Governor House to control the law and order situation.
It has been said in the post that the Punjab Rangers have been instructed to take protective measures on the instructions of the Governor of Punjab.
