Rawalpindi: General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), paid a visit to the troops stationed at Khairpur Tamewali (KPT) to observe a Field Exercise conducted by the Bahawalpur Corps.
During the visit, the COAS was briefed about the Field Exercise, which is designed to enhance the professional skills of troops at various levels. The exercise focuses on battlefield procedures necessary to tackle future challenges in operational environments.
General Munir witnessed integrated fire and battle maneuvers involving various elements, including Armour, Mechanized Infantry, Artillery, Air Defense, Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs), with support from the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Combat Aviation.
After observing the exercises, COAS interacted with the participating troops, expressing his appreciation for their training standards, operational preparedness, and high morale. He directed the troops to continue serving the nation with the traditional zeal and passion they have always shown.

General Munir emphasized, “We are aware of the challenges, and with the support of the nation, we are ready to thwart any nefarious designs of the enemies of Pakistan.” He further added, “Pakistan Army is fully prepared to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan against all odds. The Armed Forces are focused on defending the frontiers of the motherland against a full spectrum of threats, and with the support of the nation, the Armed Forces will defeat the enemies of Pakistan, InshaAllah.”
The COAS was warmly received by the Commander of Bahawalpur Corps upon arrival. The visit underscores the commitment of the Pakistan Army to maintain high levels of training and readiness to ensure the defense of the nation.
