Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Muhairi, the Director of the Command and Control Centre at the General Department of Operations in Dubai Police, shared that the call centre also handled 382 emails and 858 messages via the ‘Live Chat’ service on the Dubai Police website.

The centre’s specialised staff efficiently and expertly addressed a variety of inquiries and suggestions from the public.

Colonel Al Muhairi encouraged the public to reserve the emergency number (999) for critical situations, directing them to dial the non-emergency number (901) for information about Dubai Police’s services and other general inquiries.

He highlighted the crucial role of the Command and Control Centre, as it is the primary point of contact for emergencies. Consequently, Colonel Al Muhairi emphasised the importance of contacting 999 solely for emergencies.
