GDRFA Dubai Concludes Third Edition of ‘Entrepreneurship Makers Forum’

Dubai: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) successfully concluded the third edition of the “Entrepreneurship Makers Forum”, held under the theme “Hand in Hand” at Al Khawaneej Majlis in Dubai. The forum brought together an elite group of government leaders, entrepreneurs, and youth content creators, marking a significant event in the Year of Community initiatives and aligning with the GDRFA’s commitment to fostering an entrepreneurship-friendly environment.

The forum’s opening session, titled “Governmental Empowerment of Entrepreneurship,” featured distinguished speakers, including H.E. Alia Abdulla Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, H.E. Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, and H.E. Lt. General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai. Leadership representatives from Dubai Chambers, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Department of Economy and Tourism – Dubai, the Public Prosecution, and Dubai Municipality also attended the session. The keynote emphasized the importance of institutional collaboration in supporting startups and creating a flexible legislative environment that aligns with entrepreneurs’ aspirations.

H.E. Al Mazrouei highlighted that entrepreneurship has become a critical tool for societal well-being and legislative development, while H.E. Buhumaid emphasized the importance of institutional partnerships that support youth-led initiatives. H.E. Lt. General Al Marri affirmed that the government’s role extends beyond support, aiming to become a partner that helps transform ideas into viable economic and social models.

The second session, titled “Success Stories,” featured inspiring presentations from Emirati entrepreneurs, including Saeed Al Mutaiwee, Buthaina Al Marri, Hala Al Qergawi, and Abdullah Al Awadhi. These entrepreneurs shared their journeys of turning innovative ideas into scalable and sustainable businesses, highlighting the vital role of institutional support and community involvement in developing flexible, local-business models.

The third session, “Impact Makers in Entrepreneurship,” explored the role of digital platforms in raising responsible community awareness around entrepreneurship. The session featured influential voices such as Abdullah bin Naim Al Darai, Chairman of the UAE Youth Council for Entrepreneurship, Latifa bin Haider, Youth Council Member, and Khalifa Al Mehairi, entrepreneur and content creator. Speakers stressed how digital content has evolved from personal narratives to tools that generate community impact and promote a culture of entrepreneurship.

The Entrepreneurship Makers Forum reflects GDRFA Dubai’s ongoing commitment to transforming dialogue into action and initiatives into tangible outcomes. It is part of a government model focused on fostering genuine partnerships with youth and entrepreneurs to support the UAE’s national development goals. The event underscores the UAE’s strategic vision to empower local talents and build an innovative, knowledge-based economy.
