Rawalpindi: In a strongly worded statement, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) announced that India carried out 24 unprovoked and cowardly attacks on six different locations across Pakistan, resulting in the martyrdom of eight civilians and injuries to 35 others.
Addressing a press conference on the deteriorating security situation, the DG ISPR condemned India’s aggression, stating that two nuclear powers now stand face to face amid heightened tensions.
“India committed unprovoked aggression inside Pakistan, targeting civilian areas including mosques,” he said. “The Subhan Mosque in Ahmedpur East was struck, leading to the martyrdom of five Pakistanis. In Muzaffarabad, the Bilal Mosque was also hit.”
According to the military spokesperson, seven separate attacks were launched in Shahiwala, Muzaffarabad, one of which completely destroyed a mosque. In Kotli, another mosque was hit, claiming the lives of two civilians — a 16-year-old girl and a young boy.

Further strikes were reported at the Umm al-Qura Mosque in Muridke, where four attacks occurred. One civilian was martyred and another injured, while two people remain missing from the area.
Two additional attacks were carried out in Shakargarh, though no casualties were reported. An area north of Sialkot was also targeted by Indian forces.
In response to the aggression, the DG ISPR noted that both local and international journalists were escorted to the Line of Control (LoC) to witness the ground reality firsthand. “India’s baseless allegations have been exposed,” he said, emphasizing that the international community has now seen the devastating impact of the attacks on innocent Pakistani civilians.
The situation remains tense as both countries maintain high alert along the LoC, with calls for restraint echoing from multiple international quarters.
