Doha: On Sunday, the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, arrived in Qatar for a significant diplomatic mission, meeting with the leadership of Hamas, a Palestinian organization. During his visit, Maulana Fazlur Rehman held discussions with Qatar-based Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and former chief of the resistance group, Khaled Mashal.
The meeting revolved around advocating for Palestinian rights and unity in the face of Israeli actions. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh urged the Muslim world to stand together against Israeli atrocities, emphasizing the importance of global solidarity in addressing the ongoing Palestinian crisis.
Hamas leader Khalid Meshaal commended Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s role in Pakistan, describing him as the “ambassador of Palestine” in the country. This underlines the JUI-F chief’s commitment to the Palestinian cause and his advocacy for their rights.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s trip to Qatar is also expected to include engagements with leaders from the Arab world. The primary objective is to explore avenues for providing assistance to Gaza, a region that has been enduring the challenges posed by the actions of Israeli forces.
As diplomatic efforts continue, the international community watches closely to see how these interactions may influence the broader discourse surrounding the Palestinian issue and the quest for a peaceful resolution in the Middle East.
