New Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah Vows Progressive Governance

Syed Murad Ali Shah, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Sindh, in the inaugural session of the Sindh Assembly, set the tone for his tenure with a resolute pledge to learn from past shortcomings and prioritize the welfare of the people of Sindh.

Acknowledging the concerns surrounding the election results, Murad Ali Shah assured a commitment to pursue legal avenues for resolution while emphasizing the enduring legacy and values of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Shah articulated his administration’s achievements, including initiatives such as farmer and worker cards, hunger eradication programs, and fair wage efforts for laborers. He also outlined ambitious future projects such as providing clean drinking water throughout Sindh and establishing youth centers and solar projects.

Despite challenges, Shah exuded confidence, stating, “We will not be scared of difficulties, neither before nor in the future.” He emphasized the importance of addressing security concerns, particularly in the wake of recent terrorist incidents, and pledged to prioritize national security and stability.

In a significant move, Shah urged support for Asif Zardari for the presidency, citing Zardari’s role in restoring the constitution and his commitment to future leadership roles.

Looking ahead, Shah expressed optimism for the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, aiming to elevate him to the position of prime minister in future elections, while emphasizing a vision of progressive governance and inclusive development for Sindh.
