ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has fixed the constitutional petition against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s long march for hearing.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Atta Bandial will hear the petition filed by advocate Kamran Murtaza against the PTI long march in the Supreme Court on Thursday.
Supreme Court Registrar Office issued notice to Kamran Murtaza. A three-member bench comprising Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial, Justice Ayesha Malik and Justice Athar Minullah will hold the hearing on Thursday.
Advocate Kamran Murtaza had filed an application under Article (3) 184 of the Constitution to make the long march of Tehreek-e-Insaaf bound by rules and regulations, in which the issue of public importance and fundamental rights has been raised.
It was said in the application that Imran Khan’s long march is coming towards Islamabad, there is a risk of armed conflict when the rally reaches Islamabad. In the petition, the Supreme Court was requested to give orders to maintain law and order in Long March.
