Suspects & facilitators of Islamabad blast arrested, Sanaullah

Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the suspects and facilitators involved in the explosion in Sector I-10/4 of Islamabad have been arrested.

Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the suspects of the Islamabad terrorist attack have been arrested while the facilitators have also been arrested. He said that the attackers left from Kurram Agency and stayed in Rawalpindi and then they entered Islamabad for a high profile target which was thwarted by the police. .

In his statement on the social networking site Twitter, he said that we have ’rounded up’ four or five people, while it also came to light that the accused had hired a taxi including the driver.

It should be noted that on December 23, in Islamabad’s Sector I-14, terrorists blew up the toll booth with explosives when stopped by the policemen. In which three people including a policeman were killed while 10 were injured, including the driver.

Later in the investigation, the driver was found innocent after which the Prime Minister approved a financial package for the deceased, on which a check worth Rs 1 crore was given to the family members.

 

After the blast, Section 144 has been enforced in Islamabad for fifteen days, while security has been put on high alert, for which check posts have been established at various places and citizens are being allowed to travel only after providing identity documents.
