WEB DESK: Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition & Conference “EV World” and China EV100 have signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and China in the electric vehicle and new energy mobility sector.
The agreement marks a significant step towards expanding collaboration in electric mobility, smart transportation and sustainable energy solutions, creating new opportunities for businesses, investors, government stakeholders and technology leaders.
The partnership was announced ahead of EV World, which will be held from November 10 to 12, 2026, at Dubai World Trade Centre. The event will serve as a global platform for strategic discussions, industry cooperation, trade opportunities and investment across the electric and smart mobility ecosystem.
The collaboration will focus on key areas shaping the future of transportation, including electric vehicles, new energy vehicles, battery technologies, charging infrastructure, autonomous mobility, connected transport systems, fleet electrification, energy storage solutions, mobility software and future transport innovations.
Through increased Chinese participation at EV World, companies from China will gain direct access to government representatives, regional distributors, investors, infrastructure developers, fleet operators and technology buyers across the Middle East.
The partnership brings together EV World, a major regional platform for electric mobility and sustainable transport, with China EV100, one of China’s leading organisations focused on advancing new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicle technologies.
The agreement follows high-level meetings between the China EV100 delegation and senior UAE government officials in Dubai, where discussions focused on electric mobility, trade and investment, smart transportation, industrial cooperation and future mobility technologies.
Officials highlighted that the growing UAE-China partnership in sustainable transportation could accelerate technology exchange, attract investment and create new commercial opportunities across the electric mobility value chain.
President of EV World Dawood Al Shezawi said the partnership represented an important milestone in advancing cooperation between the UAE and China in the electric mobility sector.
He said the UAE was emerging as a regional centre for sustainable transport, infrastructure development and innovation, adding that EV World would provide a platform for global companies and innovators to collaborate and shape the future of mobility.
The partnership comes as China continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in electric vehicle manufacturing, battery technology, charging solutions and intelligent connected vehicles.
For the Middle East, closer cooperation with China’s EV ecosystem is expected to support clean transportation initiatives, expand investment opportunities and encourage the adoption of advanced mobility technologies.
The agreement also highlights the importance of international cooperation in reducing emissions, improving transport infrastructure and developing smarter and cleaner mobility systems worldwide.
EV World, held in strategic partnership with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), is expected to bring together more than 300 local and international companies, over 30 business partners and more than 10,000 specialist visitors and participants.
Organisers said the partnership with China EV100 would further strengthen EV World’s position as a leading international platform connecting governments, manufacturers, investors, technology providers and mobility innovators.
The event is expected to play a key role in accelerating electric mobility growth across the Middle East by connecting global expertise with regional opportunities in sustainable transport and smart infrastructure.
