Mövenpick launches 11th Kilo of Kindness campaign across 90 hotels worldwide

Month-long initiative runs until November 27, with all 10 UAE properties collecting essential goods for local charities

DUBAI: Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has launched the 11th edition of its global Kilo of Kindness campaign, bringing together guests, employees and local communities to support people in need through donations and acts of generosity.

Running from October 26 to November 27, 2026, the campaign will involve more than 90 Mövenpick hotels worldwide, partnering with local charities to collect essential items, including non-perishable food, school supplies, clothing and personal care products.

Since its launch in 2015, the initiative has collected more than 130,000 kilogrammes of essential goods, bringing together hotels, guests, employees and charity partners to support communities around the world.

This year’s edition also marks a new phase in the campaign’s development, with Mövenpick planning to extend community support beyond the annual collection drive. Individual hotels will continue activities throughout the year, including volunteering, fundraising and locally organised community initiatives.

The expanded approach will recognise not only donated goods but also volunteer hours, funds raised, community activities and partnerships with charities.

Kerry Healy, Chief Commercial Officer for Accor’s Premium, Midscale and Economy Division in the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, said kindness was central to Mövenpick’s identity and the campaign reflected the brand’s commitment to supporting local communities.

She said the initiative was being expanded to create more opportunities for people to contribute through donations, volunteering and local partnerships, adding that every act of kindness could make a difference.

Across the UAE, all 10 Mövenpick hotels and resorts will participate in the campaign, inviting guests and members of the public to donate essential goods at participating properties.

In Dubai, Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai will partner with the Malabes Project by Beit Al Khair Society to collect clothing for people in need. The hotel will also organise a chocolate-making masterclass and engage local schools through donation drives and educational activities.

Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah will collect clothing, educational supplies, toys and non-perishable goods for the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Charitable Education Foundation, supporting children and families in need.

The resort will also host a Chocolate Creation Experience featuring a Moroccan tea ritual and a hands-on chocolate-making masterclass, alongside activities involving local schools and the wider community.

The campaign’s participating properties in the UAE include Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, Mövenpick Hotel Apartments Downtown Dubai, Mövenpick Dubai Creek, Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach, Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City, Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai, Mövenpick Hotel Apartments Al Mamzar, Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Dubai, Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Village Triangle and Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers.

The 2026 campaign will also mark World Kindness Day on November 13, highlighting the people and community partners involved in the initiative.

Inspired by Mövenpick founder Ueli Prager’s belief in making the ordinary extraordinary, the campaign encourages people to contribute through simple gestures, from donating essential goods to volunteering their time or helping someone in need.

Members of the public can participate by dropping off donations at any of the participating Mövenpick hotels between October 26 and November 27.
