India Raises White Flag at LoC After Cross-Border Strikes

Islamabad: In a surprising turn of events, security sources confirmed on Wednesday that Indian forces raised a white flag along the Line of Control (LoC), signaling a potential de-escalation of the rapidly intensifying tensions with Pakistan.

The symbolic gesture follows a wave of Indian missile strikes launched around 1:00 am, targeting areas within Pakistani-administered Kashmir, including Muzaffarabad, Bahawalpur, and Kotli. In response, Pakistani forces carried out retaliatory strikes on several locations in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

The white flag, internationally recognized as a sign of truce or surrender, was observed by Pakistani forces stationed along the LoC. According to military sources, the move may indicate India’s intent to step back from the brink and open a channel for dialogue after the latest military confrontation between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.

“This could be an opening for de-escalation and diplomacy after a dangerous exchange,” a senior security official said, noting that the situation remains tense but stable for the time being.

The development comes just hours after the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) revealed that India carried out 24 unprovoked missile attacks on six locations across Pakistan, resulting in eight civilian deaths and 35 injuries.

While official statements from New Delhi remain awaited, the gesture has sparked cautious optimism among diplomatic circles monitoring the region closely.
